I’m not very into seafood, but when our good friend Casey offered to take us crabbing on the Rhode, a tributary of the great Chesapeake Bay, we could NOT refuse! So Casey and his wife Kristin filled us full of Natty Bo, took us out in the baking sun, and gave us a little taste of Maryland and some insight into what it’s like to be a master crab NINJA!

Adeem is consistently one of the best live performers I have had the pleasure of seeing. From Dorian Three to Adeem+Shalem to Glue and back again, he puts his heart into his music, and everything he has into his performance. We had the pleasure of catching up with him in Vermont to discuss the past, the present, and the future of rap. His new album is going to be FIRE! and I look forward to crossing paths with him again.

Driving through Vermont we made a pit stop to pick some blueberries, then we made a bed out of them and slept in a giant blueberry pancake…don’t be jelly. hip hop

Only in Portland Maine can we announce a show a few hours beforehand and have a gaggle of raucous kids meet us on a corner downtown, follow me into an alley, and pack into the freeebird for a good time sing-along. Run on sentences are the 27th element of hip hop!

What could be more fun than a sulky lounge with a light up disco dance floor owned by a lady named Bubba??? Maybe shooting off boomsticks in the woods with JD or weird rapping in a youth detention center? close…but I don’t smoke cigars, rolled a few backwoods back in my days…but now i like breathing…and dressing like a Bolivian space pimp.

I figured out at this show that the mic on one of my cameras isn’t as good as the other. So unfortunately i lost some good footage of educated consumers and E+A. But Space is always a great place to play and Portland is one of my favorite cities!

Andy’s flight from Berlin into Portland was delayed for hours so we decided to give him a grand reception.

Number two on Sonya’s (Sontiago) list of Portland fun time activities, a jean short photo shoot on the icey shore of Fort Williams for the Ponomo men’s vintage jewelry line! Hannah makes the pursed lips and SONTAIGOGIO markets them to stylish joung (Latin for young) musicians. Not quite sure if that’s how it works but it sounds nice right? want mo info? find out for yo dang selves!!!

When my good friend Sonya aka Sontaigo found out I was going to be spending some quality time in her city (Portland ME) she went all out to make sure we would have a good time. She put together an itinerary so thick that Clark G. himself would have been proud! The first activity involved Astronautilas+I coming along to the telling room with her to participate in one of the many workshops she engages in around the community. This one involved a young authors camp and an introduction to the art of freestyle.

On our way to Portland, Harpoon Larry and I stopped by DC to see our friend Kim and her husband Chris at All Access Hair. They showed us around town a bit, we had some good eats, some pie, then Kim gave us some fresh cuts and we were on our way looking suave for a wedding anniversary party where i needed to look like a Bolivian Jennifer Grey.
